Information
Q & A:
Q: Where am I on your waiting list?
A: We can’t tell you that because our list is always changing. As soon as a litter is born, I will begin to contact people waiting on our list and as they commit to a litter or pass, the list evolves.
Q: How does your waiting list work?
A: Most clients are looking for something specific i.e. color, hair texture, gender, timing, temperament, size, etc. If you have been offered a spot on a litter but you don’t see what you’re looking for, you can pass and move on to the next litter until you find the right puppy for you. As you pass, people below you on our list are then contacted and can move up.
Q: When will you have a puppy for me?
A: The length of time varies, based on what you are wanting. Sometimes we have openings at the time a deposit is received.
Q: How many puppies is the mom pregnant with?
A: We cannot count the puppies on a ultrasound. We can only guess.
Q: Can you give me the names and numbers of your previous clients so I can contact them to ask about their experiences with you?
A: We do not give out our clients’ personal information. You can read some reviews here. Once you’ve placed a deposit for a puppy, we can approve your request to join our Facebook page and you can ask questions there.
Q: Can I come and meet the parents of the upcoming litters?
A: No. We do not expose our breeding dogs to people outside of our kennel. We do not take any risks with exposing our dogs to germs that could cause them to loose their puppies. We also don't know which litter a person is going to be on until puppies are born.
Q: When can I come to meet the puppies and how is that done? Do all the families come at one time?
A: The choosing day is set once the puppies are born. It is held on a weekend, and normally the one that is closest to them being 6 weeks old. We schedule the families 30 minutes apart in the order the deposits were received.
Q: Do you have a health guarantee?
A: Yes, we have a 2 year congenital/hereditary health guarantee. This health guarantee provides warranty against genetic diseases we test for that warrant euthanasia.
Q: What dog food are they eating?
A: Your new puppy will be used to eating pawTree puppy food, and NuVet wellness tabs, it's easiest on your new pups' system to stay on the same food as we have them on.
Q: What about vaccinations?
A: All our pups receive age appropriate basic puppy vaccines. You'll be given a health record listing the vaccines and dates of worming for you to give to your vet.
It's very important to understand that puppies are not fully immunized until all the shots have been completed in the series through 16 weeks of age. You shouldn't socialize your pup around strange dogs until then. Be careful when walking them to avoid other dog waste during this time. Please do not take your pup to dog parks or pet stores until it is safe to do so!
Q: Are they socialized?
A: Daily! Using the unique puppy culture program these puppies are used to all kinds of objects, animals, people, and kids. It also helps living on a farm to have them used to chickens, cows, tractors, and cats.
Q: What is an F1 doodle?
A: An F1 doodle is a first generation puppy bred between a purebred Bernese Mt Dog/Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. F1b is a second generation and what our litter of Mini Goldendoodles will be.
Q: Are doodles registered?
A: No doodles are a mixed breed and therefore cannot be registered with a purebred kennel club as they are not a recognized breed at this point. However most of our adults (not the doodles) are registered with the AKC, DNA'd & health tested.
